As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. This post requires an armed guard card or license and offers a dynamic environment where your presence helps reduce incidents and support daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or motorists by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including roadway disruptions, disabled vehicles, trespassing concerns, and/or suspicious activity; coordinate with site representatives and public agencies as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas such as toll facilities, parking areas, perimeter fencing, maintenance areas, and/or access roads; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access at gates, checkpoints, and/or restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor directions, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site requirements.
  • Carry and handle authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws; complete required documentation including incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
