Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Route in Eastover, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to situations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed patrol duties, maintaining control of issued equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to site leadership and/or public partners as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation on daily activities, incident response, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
