Job Description


As a Security Officer - Community Patrol in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will control access at key points, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and drivers by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification and/or credentials as required, and directing visitor traffic in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate key updates to site contacts and incoming officers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
