As a Security Officer - Armed Utilities Patrol in Saint Paul, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an armed patrol officer at a critical utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and site-specific armed post instructions.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, yards, and perimeter areas, checking gates, doors, and critical infrastructure for unusual conditions.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, including observations from patrols, access control actions, and follow-up communications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
