As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge processes. You will communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting campus resources and/or public responders, and supporting incident documentation.
• Monitor and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns; communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs; follow post orders and participate in briefings and/or training as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
