As a Security Officer - Office Park Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will also support entry screening and badge access as needed, while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a caring, people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted spaces; verify authorized access, observe for unusual conditions, and report concerns according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, summoning appropriate assistance, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete required security-related reports such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation; communicate timely updates to site representatives and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6+ months of security experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
