Job Description


As a Security Officer - Cycle Patrol Unarmed in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and bicycle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document activity, support site guidelines, and work closely with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first while acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, streetscape areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and operational concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate resources and documenting actions taken.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, provide directions and assistance, and observe for suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed written reports and shift logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and support security-related investigations as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
