As a Armed Security Guard - Transit Safety Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a transit location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with riders, staff, and local partners. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transit location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial scene control and timely notifications to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor cameras, radios, and other systems, complete detailed incident reports and patrol logs, and communicate clearly with on-site staff and local law enforcement when needed.
• Assist with crowd management during peak periods and special events, provide directions and information to the public, and support orderly movement through entrances and restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Baton permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
