Job Description


As a Security Officer - GSOC in Findlay, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or radio calls, and document observations using a computer or tablet while delivering helpful customer service. A. Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience or more in a public or private security organization, law enforcement or armed services; at least two years in a central station / console environment preferred.

• Knowledge of state of the art security technology, to include alarm and access control systems, CCTV systems, communications technologies, and information management software programs.

• Strong personal computing skills, to include all office related products and familiarity with internet, databases, and networks.

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

• Good organizational skills, with an emphasis on multi-tasking and rapidly assessing and shifting priorities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional demeanor under stressful situations.

B. Duties shall include, but are not limited to:

• Provides command, communications and control functions for Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).

• Function as command-and-control liaison during incidents and communicates their status to Corporate Security response members, management and other involved parties.

• Manages information flow to and from incident site, off site responders, vendors and other response personnel.

• Coordinate customer service-oriented response to calls for service, such as badge access problems, security related inquiries, and alarm monitoring questions.

• Maintain and update policy & procedure documentation, emergency response and notification information, administrative material, and database information in guard force management system.

• Support the Corporate Security Business Continuity plan by maintaining and testing viable backup plans for Operations Center functions.

• Availability to work 24 hours per day and flexible shifts as needed.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
