Join Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location as an Access Control Officer, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor check-in, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Operate access control at designated entry points by monitoring alarms and cameras, verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized personnel to the correct areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, disruptive behavior, and/or requests for support from site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete required documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and access control records, and communicate notable observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
