Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Driver in Pearland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct high-visibility rounds, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience through clear communication. This post requires a valid driver’s license and meeting AU Driver Policy requirements, and you will carry the appropriate armed guard credentials while following site procedures. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests and store associates by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with state requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify suspicious conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs; communicate observations and/or concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Possess Level III armed certification for Texas only.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
