As a Security Officer - flex Patrol Driver in Carleton, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed driving patrol officer in a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to calls for service, and deliver helpful customer service and communication while documenting activity using computer and/or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, production spaces, parking areas, and the building perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and badge entry, reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance issues through established channels.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate with site personnel, and support a professional workplace environment through visible presence and assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
