Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol in Moore, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to requests, and document observations using a computer or tablet. You will also deliver strong customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring culture that puts people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a tech and telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating to local contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, common areas, loading areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access concerns.
  • Monitor access control points by checking identification, managing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges as directed, and documenting entries and exits per site policy.
  • Complete thorough shift documentation including incident reports, patrol logs, and equipment checks, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and incoming officers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Security Experience ‐ 1+ Years.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • Guard Card/License - preferred.
  • CPR Certification - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
