Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols and high-visibility checks, respond to incidents, and document security-related activity with clear communication. This post requires a valid armed guard card and a valid driver’s license. You will deliver professional customer service, support property operations, and act with integrity as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to law enforcement and/or management as required.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization, and directing guests and deliveries according to site-specific procedures.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to the client and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support investigations by preserving observations and statements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience is required.
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • Be at least 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
