Job Description


As a Security Officer High Rise Building in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and property staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, property-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting Allied Universal supervision and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions such as unauthorized persons, suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, and report findings through required documentation.
  • Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and pass-down communication while supporting property management with customer service requests and/or directions as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
