As a Security Officer - Part-Time Rover Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will also assist staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter spaces; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Control access where assigned by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as required, managing visitor check-in processes, and documenting access activity per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports and shift logs of unusual activity, incidents, and patrol observations; communicate relevant updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
