Job Description


As a Security Officer - Warehouse Driver Patrol in STATEN ISLAND, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed patrol officer supporting day-to-day operations through visible presence and regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and access points. You will help to deter security-related incidents, respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or public agencies as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and conduct security-related screening as required, including verifying identification, controlling visitor entry, and/or directing visitors to appropriate areas.
  • Complete routine reports and logs, communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and support security-related audits, inspections, and/or special assignments as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
