Job Description


As a Security Officer - Night Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with your team to support smooth daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building common areas, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading dock areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, alarms, access issues, and/or maintenance-related concerns, and notify the appropriate contacts.
  • Monitor access points and observe tenant and visitor traffic, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing people to approved entrances, elevators, and/or amenity areas per site procedures.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation, and communicate security-related concerns and/or follow-up actions to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
