As a Security Officer - Flex Retail Patrol in Campbell, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, support access control and/or badge checks, and assist with incident reporting using a computer or tablet. Your visible presence helps reduce security-related concerns while delivering outstanding customer service to guests and tenants. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the mall common areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and service corridors to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points and loading areas, assist with crowd flow during peak shopping hours, and help support tenant move-in and/or move-out activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with mall management and/or local responders as needed.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in required reports and systems, and communicate pertinent information to the oncoming officer and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
