Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Rover in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors with strong customer service, communicate clearly when something looks out of place, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet while supporting a team that values integrity, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and building activity, report suspicious behavior, and assist with visitor direction, tenant requests, and general inquiries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations, medical response coordination, and incident documentation as required by site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns, and communicate updates to property management and onsite personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Security Experience ‐ 6+ Months is required.
  • Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • State, County, or City Issued Security License - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
