What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government location by following site-specific procedures and access requirements.
  • Control access through screening and verification of identification, credentials, and appointments, and issue visitor passes and/or badges in accordance with post orders.
  • Monitor entry points and security-related systems such as cameras, intercoms, and alarms, and report unusual activity per policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed reports of access activity, incidents, and shift events, and communicate concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement and/or military and/or security-related experience or have a college degree.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
