Job Description


As a Security Officer - Media Facility in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, manage access points as needed, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, verify identification and/or authorization, and direct guests, vendors and employees according to site procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as shift logs and incident reports, and report maintenance concerns, hazards and/or unusual conditions observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Limited on-site facilities are available at this site such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
