As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Driver in South Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct high-visibility patrols on foot and by vehicle, help to identify and respond to security-related concerns, and support store teams and guests with clear, professional communication. You will document activity, assist with incident response, and build trust through customer service. We are agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and driven by teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local emergency services as needed.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or access points, control entry where required, and check receipts and/or assist with loss prevention support consistent with post orders.
• Document patrols, incidents, and customer interactions in written reports and logs, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
