Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Rounds in LINCOLN, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication, while reporting concerns and documenting activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues for follow-up.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to clinical staff and/or local emergency responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor management and wayfinding to support orderly movement throughout the facility.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
