Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Laurel, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location as an unarmed patrol officer with a driving post requirement. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control and badging, and respond to concerns with strong customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to onsite contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter fencing; working conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, logging entries and exits, and directing employees, contractors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard notifications to support security-related operations and help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
