As an Allied Universal Officer in a healthcare location, you will help monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and courteous communication, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive persons, and fire and/or life event alarms, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured doors, and hazards, and reporting concerns through approved channels.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances, assisting with visitor processing, and helping to direct foot traffic in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate relevant information to on-site leadership and/or dispatch.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
