Job Description


As a Security Officer in Danvers, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will communicate clearly with staff and guests, document observations, and respond to routine service requests with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies, and assisting with access control and general inquiries.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, corridors, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify authorization where applicable, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
