Job Description


As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Milan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and respond to alarms and/or access concerns as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, warehouses, exterior perimeters, and parking areas; note unusual activity and report concerns.
  • Monitor and respond to alarms, calls for service, and other site notifications in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points, including verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site policy.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation; communicate observations and status updates to supervisors and oncoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Alarm panel experience preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
