As an armed patrol officer at a premier performing arts location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support guests, artists, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication, while documenting activities and responding to concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a performing arts venue.
  • Conduct armed, regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, screen authorized entry as required, and verify credentials for employees, performers, contractors, and deliveries using established post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and alarms, while coordinating with venue management and local first responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed documentation of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities, and maintain assigned equipment and firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years’ law enforcement experience or 2+ years’ security supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years’ security experience.
  • Have an armed guard card or license.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
