As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will control access, verify badges, and document activity while supporting employees and visitors with professional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, and other security-related policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, labs, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other monitoring systems, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating notifications per post orders.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing deliveries, and directing visitors to authorized areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts during shift briefings and incident follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
