Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Canyon Lake, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle patrols as a driving post, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to resident concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity as you deliver professional service through teamwork.

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, complaints, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to onsite leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential streets, amenities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying credentials, checking visitor authorization, and directing traffic and deliveries according to site-specific procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • The ability to ride a bike is required.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
