As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Services in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government education location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. Expect routine rounds, accurate reporting using a computer and/or tablet, and professional customer service for students, staff, and visitors while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, students, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, athletic fields, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Monitor entrances and common areas, assist with visitor processing and directions, and report suspicious activity per post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public responders as needed.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate significant updates to supervision, and support emergency response activities and drills as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
