Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rounds in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and respond to incidents with calm, professional communication. You will support employees and visitors with customer service and clear reporting, while working as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and other security-related policies for a financial services location.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and site-specific post orders, including maintaining proper weapon retention, storage, and handling practices.
  • Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations in detailed reports, and communicate observations to client representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
