As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrols in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service with clear communication. This post requires a Texas Level III Armed Certification and offers a team-focused environment where agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity guide how we support the community.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, unusual conditions, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in, and/or screening entry in accordance with site-specific requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and/or local public resources as needed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and/or patrol documentation, and communicate observations and instructions to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
