As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff and guests with strong communication, incident documentation, and a customer-service mindset. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using verbal de-escalation techniques and requesting assistance from management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe cameras and/or alarm systems as assigned, reporting suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy issues to the appropriate contacts.
• Document observations, patrol activity, and incidents in written reports, and communicate status updates during shift changes to support consistent security-related coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
