Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Role in Port Arthur, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with opportunities to support access control and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial processing location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and deliveries, reporting irregularities in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documentation per post orders.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
