As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driver Patrol in Port Arthur, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control at gates and badge checkpoints. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and deliver customer service with integrity. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, and offers a team-focused environment where you can grow with Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial processing location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, directing traffic flow, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
• Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and communication channels; promptly report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations, preserving incident information, and assisting with coordination of response resources as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21+ years of age.
• A guard card and/or guard license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
