As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet tenants and visitors, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team and site contacts. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building common areas, lobbies, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, checking for access control issues, property conditions and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and respond to door alarms, elevator intercoms, fire panels and/or other building systems as assigned, documenting observations and reporting concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial assistance, coordinating with property management and/or public responders as needed and completing required reports.
  • Complete routine activity logs, incident reports and shift handoffs, including documenting patrol findings, tenant requests and any security-related hazards observed during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
