As a Security Officer- Retail - Alarm Response Patrol in Staten Island, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming customer experience, communicate clearly with guests and staff, and respond to alarms and reports as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor for suspicious or unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards, and take appropriate action to help to deter issues while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, and communicate post orders, observed conditions, and/or follow-up items to site leadership and the incoming shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 6+ months of security experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
