As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols and respond to calls for service, helping to discourage unwanted activity through a visible presence and professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with time spent moving throughout the property, documenting observations, assisting residents and/or guests, and using technology to complete reports while supporting a people-first culture rooted in integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate on-site personnel and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and community amenities as assigned, verifying authorization, directing visitors, and helping to maintain orderly entry and exit.
• Complete security-related reports and documentation such as incident reports, activity logs, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or the site representative.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
