As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to requests, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, and document observations and incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and assigned security-related procedures at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify credentials as required, and document visitor and/or vendor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs, maintain confidentiality of patient and facility information, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2 or more years of security experience.
  • Comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
