As a Security Officer  - Armed - Retail Patrol Driver in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist shoppers and store teams, and communicate clearly during everyday situations. This is an armed and driving post, supporting mobile patrols and rapid response across the property. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to discourage theft, disorderly conduct, and other policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting law enforcement and/or medical responders as needed, and coordinating with onsite management.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; verify authorized access when required; and assist with crowd control and/or line management during peak shopping periods.
  • Document patrol activity, observed hazards, incidents, and client requests in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and onsite personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree is required.
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • 21+ Years of Age is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
