As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Dunn, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and support access control as needed, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and deliver a customer-first experience. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. At Allied Universal, you will act with integrity through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including loading docks, staging areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, exits, and delivery gates, verifying identification and/or delivery documentation as required, and directing visitors, drivers, and associates to the appropriate locations.
  • Complete detailed patrol and incident reports, document unusual activity, and communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Alarm Panel Experience - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
