You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to the client by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating issues through the chain of command as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, substations, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identifying and reporting hazards, suspicious conditions, and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor gates, entry points, and authorized work areas, verifying identification and/or credentials, controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and maintaining accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports, support investigations with clear observations, and maintain required equipment and readiness in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
