Now Hiring Part Time Flex Security Officers!

Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Location: St. Louis Metro, Illinois

Shift: Flex position - you will need open availability to cover call off's, days off and scheduled vacation

Pay: $19.50 / Hour - Weekly Pay

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds

Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to the public, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and direct visitors according to post orders.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate relevant information to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
