As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will support riders and staff with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of unusual activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with wayfinding, and help manage orderly movement of people during peak times and special events.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and local public agencies as needed.
  • Complete timely reports, document incidents and patrol activity, and communicate key information to supervisors and oncoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of two years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
