Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver - Residential in DALLAS, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will perform high-visibility vehicle and foot patrols, respond to calls for service, and document security-related activity with clear reports. You will engage respectfully with residents and guests while helping to deter incidents through strong presence and communication. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid driver’s license meeting AU driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential streets, club facilities, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Control access at gates and other entry points by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor traffic, and/or checking deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and unusual observations, and communicate updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
