What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties, maintaining readiness and adherence to all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and use of force guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical facility disruptions, and/or suspicious activity, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or criminal activity; working environments and conditions may vary by post assignment.
  • Complete security-related reports and documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and/or observed hazards, and support access control and visitor management procedures as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree with 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
