As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government location, conducting routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and documenting observations with clear, timely reports. You will respond to calls for assistance, support access control as needed, and deliver respectful customer service while working as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties, including regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and contractor activity, and directing individuals according to site rules and applicable regulations.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associates degree and/or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
