As a Security Officer - Logistics - Distribution - Mornings in Elgin, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will support smooth operations by screening personnel and deliveries, checking IDs and badges, logging visitors, and monitoring assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site leaders. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and drivers through access control processes such as verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in area.
• Conduct screening of packages, bags, and/or incoming items per site policy, escalating prohibited items, policy concerns, and/or unusual activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken in required reports and logs.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, yard, and perimeter, and monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms to help to identify and/or deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
